GLIDE WAX RECOMMENDATION:
EXPRESS LANE TO HAYWARD
Base Wax Layer: Apply two (2) layers of Swix LF7X. Use iron temperature of 140C to apply. Let cool, scrape and brush with Swix T179 Steel Brush. Polish with Swix T161 White Nylon Brush.
Race HF Wax Layer: Apply two (2) layers of Swix HF7X. Use iron temperature of 140C to apply. Let cool, scrape and brush with Swix T179 Steel Brush. Polish with Swix T161 White Nylon Brush.
Race Cera F Wax Layer: Apply one (1) layer of Swix FC8X Cera F Powder. Use iron temperature of 165C to apply and move iron quickly over the ski base, 8-10 seconds per ski. Let cool 3-4 minutes. Brush out with Swix T164 Wild Boar Brush or Swix T157 Horsehair Brush. Polish with Swix T160 Blue Nylon Brush.
Velocity Enhancer Layer: Apply one (1) layer of HVC Warm Liquid, let dry 3-5 minutes and ski to Main Street Hayward!

TOPPING LAYER- SWIX HVC WARM LIQUID
T179 STEEL BRUSH
T164/T157 WILD BOAR BRUSH/HORSEHAIR BRUSH
T160 BLUE NYLON BRUSH
T161 WHITE NYLON BRUSH
Binder Layer- VG35 Green Base Binder, apply one (1) layer and iron in at 120C, smooth with a cork and let cool outside 3-5 minutes.
Kicking Layer- VR55N, 3-5 layers, cork each layer smooth.
Note- if more kick is needed, try 1-2 layers of VR62 under the foot.
Note- if more glide is needed, apply 1 layer of VX53 and cork smooth.
Note- Zero skis can also be a good option for the race with the new snow and warmer temperatures predicted.
