With the new snow falling and temps around 32f, "Zero" skis, also know as "hairies", or "rub skis" will be the best option. Prep the kick area with sand paper, then spray on Swix Zero spray to help with icing.
Use Swix Skin Care Zero on the kick area.
Waxable classic skis:
Try VR50 first, then VR55 , VR60 and VR62
Cover with VX53.
It may be difficult to get kick in the newly falling snow and rain. If you get kick, it may start icing.
Sounds like a fun event with a nice meal to close out the season.
