How goes the summer training? Anything different than in years past?
Summer training has been going really well! I’ve been to 3 camps so far: USST in Bend, a Norwegian National camp, and a USST camp in Alaska. I’ve had the opportunity to be on snow twice which is so helpful in my goals to improve my classic skiing!
Where will you travel to in the next three months?
I’ll be at the U-16 camp for a few days in Duluth, MN, then I’ll fly back to my SMS club team in Vermont for a few weeks. In the first part of September I’ll be in New Zealand at the Snow Farm, which I’m super excited for, and then back to Minnesota for a family visit!
It seems that more athletes are on snow throughout the year than in years before- is this true? How many ski days are you getting this #swixsummer?
Everyone has different goals and things they want to improve upon. And one of mine is learning to kick my classic skis in all sorts of different conditions, so getting on snow a few times throughout the summer helps me keep in touch with that feeling. I’ll probably be training on snow around 100 hours this spring/summer/fall.
What's your go-to summer training wax?
These days, the go-to is klister! We’ve been skiing on a lot of slush!
Anything else to add?
It’s been a lot of fun testing the new Triac 2.5’s and I really like the way they feel on snow!
